Salary: £28,000 PA

Job Summary:

We are seeking a diligent and reliable Yard Hand to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the yard, assisting with trailer movements for customer handovers, loading and unloading stock from deliveries, and ensuring the site is kept clean, safe, and organised. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is physically fit, and has a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with moving trailers around site, unloading trailers from deliveries.
Get out and prepare any trailers for customer appointments.
Conduct routine yard maintenance, ensuring the area is clean, safe, and well-organised.
Perform basic inspections on trailers, including checking for damage and reporting any issues.
Assist customers with trailer hire collections and returns, ensuring excellent customer service.
Support the rest of the team as needed with general tasks such as parts orders.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar yard, warehouse, or trailer-related role is beneficial but not essential.
Physically fit and able to lift heavy items when required.
Basic mechanical knowledge or willingness to learn.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
A valid driver’s license (preferred).

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Trailer Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be NTTA Qualified and have experience in trailer servicing, maintenance, and repairs. This role requires excellent mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of towing safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out servicing, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of trailers, ensuring they meet NTTA standards.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and braking system issues.
Perform pre-delivery inspections on new trailers before handover to customers.
Assist with fitting trailer accessories on sold trailers such as winches cameras etc.
Maintain accurate service records and complete job sheets in line with company procedures.
Provide excellent customer service, advising clients on maintenance and safety best practices.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workshop.
Keep the workshop clean, organised, and stocked with necessary parts and tools.
Deal with customer parts orders with our manufacturer

Requirements:

NTTA Qualified Trailer Technician (or willingness to obtain certification).
Proven experience in trailer servicing, repairs, or a similar mechanical role.
Strong knowledge of braking systems, electrics, and trailer components.
Ability to use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and workshop machinery.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
A valid UK driving license (preferred).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
